Message from the President of the Scientific Committee

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It is a great pleasure to invite you to the 1st Paediatric Physiotherapy Conference of the

Scientific Department of Paediatric Physical Therapy 

Physiotherapists' Panhellenic Association

entitled:

"Advancements/Challenges in Pediatric Physical Therapy: Innovations and Emerging Trends"

which will be held in the European Interbalkan Medical Center, of Thessaloniki, Greece, June 29 & 30, 2024.

The aim of this two (2) day Conference is to promote knowledge, to shed light onto paediatric physical therapy developments, and also to   through comprehensive presentations of scientific papers.

The Scientific Department of Paediatric Physical Therapy, committed in  promoting  childrens' new data on the role of Pediatric Physiotherapy & developments through the thorough presentation of scientific papers/presentations, has set into priority this event, recognizing the importance of the role of Physical Therapist in the Paediatric Population.

The scientific program includes lectures, roundtable discussions, sessions of free communications, debates, presentations of  cases, and clinical workshops, aiming to be the culmination of modern developments, trends, techniques, and applications in all areas of Pediatric Physical Therapy. The presence of distinguished Greek and foreign speakers, who will be called upon to impart their knowledge and experiences, as well as the active participation of younger colleagues, is expected to encourage fruitful discussions, exchange of views and ideas, ensuring the objectives of a Conference of International Standards.

We invite you all to participate in this wonderful journey, either as presenters or as attendees, who will, however, have the opportunity for meaningful intervention with questions and observations. Presenters will be established academics and researchers, who will join forces with young professionals in the field of research in a particularly productive combination of experience, reliability, and research enthusiasm.

Moreover, developments and breakthroughs concerning various fields in the spectrum of Physical Therapy reflecting on the Pediatric Population will result in the upcoming two-day Conference being a strong scientific focal point that will bring us all together, with the aim of comprehensive information, substantial education, and constructive communication among all Physical Therapists, young and old.

There is much more to be explored and said, both regarding the Interdisciplinary approach and the role of the Pediatric Physical Therapist in a TEAM approach!
